Projectivity Virtual Machine

The Projectivity Certified Virtual Machine is a software container that provides you with all you need to run Projectivity. It is basically a complete "Virtual Computer" that contains:

• Virtual hardware components
• The underlying operating system (Red Hat Linux Enterprise for EE, CentOS for the NE)
  
• All the components required to run Projectivity: an Apache Web Server, JBoss Enterprise for EE or JBoss for NE, DBMS, etc...
• The Projectivity Platform
• Your Frameworks

The Projectivity Virtual Machine is a VMware virtual machine. If you already have a VMware virtual infrastructure then you will be able to setup Projectivity on a seperate virtual unit. If you do not yet have any virtual infrastructure you can get the free VMware Player from the VMware web site. Note that one advantage of virtualization technology is to enable multiple operating systems, i.e. the Projectivity Virtual Machine (which encapsulates Linux) can be setup on a computer running Windows.
